Well today, is a first for me, in all the years of performing aboard cruise ships I’ve never heard “MAN OVER BOARD” unless it was a drill. Today at 1pm, a guest entertainer reported seeing a woman on the wrong side of the railing, and then jump off. We (the ship) have been circling for 2.5 hours so far, but with swells 5 to 8 feet tall, and very regular, no one is holding out much hope for a happy ending.  The Captain has ordered everyone back to their cabins in order to identify the person who jumped.

My thoughts go out to the person or people, who are waiting for this person to show up at the cabin; and when they don’t… you know they won’t be back.

At 3:08 PM. The Captain announced that they know the name of the passenger that jumped, and will be continuing the search, until Coast Guard gives the sail on order.
Gavin.
